PROOREADING

The proofreading is always carried out by a native speaker of the given language. Our proof-readers have an excellent expert knowledge of the language and are aware of all current linguistic trends. They have a wide vocabulary and knowledge of the correct use of words in different contexts. Knowledge of the valid grammatical norms and a command of syntax and stylistics are a matter of course. They always approach their work conscientiously and with the utmost care.

Proofreading – basic standard 

The proof-readers check the comprehensiveness, formal correctness and editing of the translation (whether all the parts of the initial text have been translated, including any hidden texts or inserted files) and inspect the correct order of the chapters and pages, the conformity between the factual information contained in the original and the translation, whether the numbers or graph content conform to the original and so on.

Proofreading – a supplementary service

The proof-reader corrects any grammatical, stylistic or typographical errors or misprints and also pays attention to the graphic layout of the text (paragraph indents, hyphenation at the ends of lines, the placement of illustrations in the text, the header level and so on). The proof-reader checks the integrity of the text, its readability, the appropriateness of the translated expressions and the overall style, the precise understanding of the original text and its subsequent correct translation so that the target text fulfils its purpose. We also carefully check the correctness from the point of view of the used specialist terms.
